"The Choctawhatchee River is beautiful, wild and pristine. It is one river which has no artificial controls. Part of its history is that of the Native Americans. We believe it's possible that the bend on which we live could have been an Indian/"white man" trading post. It is one of the higher points as the water meanders toward the Gulf. We have explored many parts of the river by foot, and canoe, finding arrow heads, pottery shards and animal signs. There is no end to the Choctawhatchee River mysteries."
