Property owners
Q & A
1.) How much
can I make?
A.) This depends on your property; its location, what amenities
(electricity, water and sewer, of course, but how about cable, modem
line, picnic tables, barbecue.) Are you on a lake or river? What fun
attractions are close by? Winter sports? What your property can bring
depends on all those variables.
2.) What does
it cost me to list my property?
A.) There is a one time $25.00 administration fee when your property
is listed with us.
3.) How are reservations
made?
A.) We have an answering service phone reservations and it is possible
to make reservations through this website.
4.) Does the
renter pay me directly?
A.) No. We collect payment in full when the reservation is made, you
receive payment after the rental period.
5.)
Do I need additional insurance?
A.) Please check with your agent.
6.)
Do I need any permits?
A.) Please check with your local governing authorities and / or associations.
7.)
What are my responsibilities?
A.) Please read the agreement on the Location
Submit page.
8.)
What do I do to get started?
A.) Please complete a property submit application on the Location
Submit page.
9.)
How does this work, are there any hidden costs?
A.) No there are no hidden costs or charges from RV Spaces. You will be
paid a split of the rental income for every time your property rents.
We handle everything else. This is a true Win - Win . We advertise, handle
the reservations, and the money transaction, and you just maintain your
property as described, and as you would if not listed with us. We send
you a check after your property rents. It is very easy! Your only costs
are what you currently pay to maintain the property as it is, and possibly
a small increased electric, or water bill as a result of renters staying
/ using your utilities if provided. That is it!
10.)
What if someone stays without paying?
A.) You will be notified in advance any time someone is to stay on your
property. If someone shows up unannounced, They are not paid, and they
should be treated as any other unannounced visitor or Trespasser. You
are not obligated to allow them to stay, and RV Spaces will not pay for
their stay. Please use your good judgment with this one. Contact us if
this occurs, get whatever information you can (License Plate, State, Make
and Model of their Rig, Name and Drivers License# if possible). You can
report this to the local authorities at your discretion.
11.)
Should'nt I get more of the money since it's my property?
A.) In Short, you should plan for the amount of money you need per
night for your property, and base the total rental price on twice that
amount. The truth of the matter is you get the larger portion of the net
profit of rentals because of the "per transaction" credit card
processing fees, and the royalties that are paid out on every single dollar
RV Spaces recieves. We also have overhead costs of Web-Server monthly
costs, Secure Processing monthly costs, and all of the other business
related costs of operation that include but are not limited to our electricity,
business space, time, postage, printing, advertising, telephone, design
and more. We understand you also have costs regarding the maintenance
of the ammenities you are providing and listing on the web-site, but what
it boils down to is we both have costs of operating, and RV Spaces splits
the top rental figure 50% with you before we subtract off all of our costs.
